Yes, it’s a legal requirement under Regulation 7 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, for every employer to have access to competent health and safety advice relevant their work activities. Whether this health and safety advice is provided through an appropriately qualified and experienced (Competent) internal employee or through an external Health and Safety Consultant (such as Your Safety Advisor Ltd) is up to you. Often the decision is a simple commercial one…….. First, consider the costs of employing a full/part time Health and Safety Professional plus the associated ongoing training and pension costs etc, or even the ongoing costs to train up and retain an existing employee, plus this process can take many years to complete. Then consider this against the small annual cost (£350.00/year) that we charge for fulfilling the role of your retained safety advisor (or Virtual Safety Advisor). It soon becomes clear that using us as Your Safety Advisor Ltd makes a lot of business sense! It costs less than £1.00 per day to retain us as your Health and Safety Advisors. Typical situations where appointing Your Safety Advisor Ltd as your Virtual Safety Advisor, or Retained Health and Safety Advisor/competent person can be beneficial, includes: Assistance in gaining a safety accreditation (such as an SSIP Assessment scheme like: CHAS, SMAS, Exor, Altius, SafeContractor etc) Help completing a PQQ or other Safety Questionnaires Having access to Competent Health and Safety advice and demonstrating your compliance with Health and Safety Law Helping to reduce the day-to-day health and safety burden on other members of your team Gaining expert knowledge on health and safety requirements and safety management systems Helping to improve and update your existing health and safety arrangements and Health and Safety Policy Documents Helping to protect the health, safety and welfare of your employees and others affected by your works Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and other safety documentation If our Retained/Virtual Safety Advisor service is of interest to you, please contact us and we will gladly answer your query, or please request a callback and we will talk you through the services included as part of our Retained/Virtual Safety Advisor Services. Shipping

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on the contents of your cart and the shipping address. This takes into account product weight and dimensions, and whether the location being sent to is metro, regional or remote. The price will change depending on whether it is a commercial or residential address. There is an extra charge for items marked as *Dangerous Goods by the courier.

Please note, that we are currently using Freight Exchange as a freight broker. Their terms & conditions are listed here.

We ship to most destinations in Australia. If the checkout does not allow your shipping address, please contact us and we will see what we can do to help.

We use different couriers depending on rates and services available, including Border Express, Couriers Please and Australia Post. If you have a specific reason to use or not use a particular courier please let us know.

We will generally insure any delivery above $500, BUT;

Freight damages MUST be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery for insurance claims on damages to be realised. Where possible please inspect the delivery for external damage to the packaging, and if damage is suspected inspect the goods BEFORE signing for the delivery.

Please refuse any obviously damaged deliveries (smashed panels, dented batteries) and ask the delivery driver to return the delivery to the depot and report the damages to us ASAP.

If you have granted “Authority to leave” or missed the driver, or have your delivery made to a depot, have the receiver inspect the delivery and please report any freight damage to us directly with photos via email within 24 hours of the delivery being made.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee damages will be covered by insurance if they are reported after 24 hours from the time of delivery.

It varies greatly based on the destination and the products ordered. Orders are usually dispatched from our warehouse in Preston, VIC within 48 hours. You can use the estimates below as a rough guide for shipping time:

  • VIC and SA: 1-2 days
  • QLD and NSW: 2-3 days
  • NT, WA and TAS: 3-10 days +

These estimates do not apply if the destination is regional or remote. Once orders leave our warehouse we have very little control over the actual shipping time. If you need a more accurate estimate of shipping time please contact us.
