I have seen on the review list both rave reviews and people upset that their food burned. This equipment is more complex than a microwave oven so you need to understand each of the settings and what to do. You also need to stick around when your food is cooking and pay attention to how long it needs to cook in THIS particular device. If you do that your food will be properly cooked. The booklet with cooking instructions does give timing for baking and cooking and I have used it as a temperature and timing guide when cooking recipes that I have used in other devices. That worked. Also, where you place your food in this convection toaster oven matters. The guide also gives that information and, again, if you put your baking on the broiling rack, don’t be surprised if your baked goods burn. With all the many things it does, this convection toaster oven is quite wonderful. I’m planning on roasting a whole chicken today. I’m super happy that i purchased this convection toaster oven as I was tired of my air frier flipping the cheese off of my tuna melt and having melted cheese all over the bottom of the air-frier. Now I can air fry OR toast in the same device eliminating 2 pieces of equipment (the old toaster oven AND the old Air-frier) from my limited countertop space.
