Our Bunn was leaking a bit every pot. I was worried about taking it apart (VP17-3), but it was very easy. I almost didn’t see the problem, but one spot at the top where this gasket was exposed through a hole in the metal was dribbling water. With the bolts removed, the old gasket still had a very tight hold and I needed to apply quite a bit of pressure to pop it off of there. There was a second, smaller gasket between the spray head tube and the tank lid. It seemed fine, but I replaced it anyway since I had it all apart.Once I took off the top to the heating vessel I could see the old gasket had been eaten away over time, causing it to leak at the thinnest spot. I suppose by the heat. I guess you get a tiny bit of silicone in every pot. We’ve had this coffee maker plugged in, making 10-15 pots a day, since at least 2010, maybe 2008.
