I ordered this Air Pillow Cushion Maker Machine to use in my small business selling collectibles on Ebay. Bubble wrap is expensive, and requires a lot of storage space.I thought this would be a good option to save money and space. The machine arrived safely packed, and in perfect condition.Anxious to use it, I read through the instructions. They were obviously badly translated from Chinese, and were incomplete and confusing. They went into great detail about its “exquisite and compact appearance,” but left out the instructions how to load the film on the machine. The diagrams were missing elements, too. Finally, I looked up videos of similar machines online, and got an idea of how install the film and operate the machine. The film roll holder is 7 1/2 inches long. The film that I had is 15″ wide with a 2″ core.It worked fine even though it was twice as long as the holder. The film roll is heavy, but the pull-out standing leg was sufficient to keep the machine stable. The trickiest part was opening the channel on the edge of the film to insert the air tube. The machine worked well! I made bubble wrap with film that I had purchased on Amazon. The machine heats up quickly, and then makes bubble wrap with amazing speed. The film moved easily through the machine without jamming, and the bubbles filled up perfectly with no un-inflated areas. You can adjust the speed and the air levels, as well as the temperature, but I used the default settings and everything was perfect. There is a chart in the instructions with recommended temperature and air volume for different types of film, but bubble wrap was not listed (maybe it’s “air cushion gourd membrane?” Once again, language barrier.)As to maintenance, there are replacement belts included. There were also supposed to be replacement blades, but the blade container I received was empty. No blades! The instructions for replacing these items are REALLY confusing, but I guess I’ll deal with that when I have to.Also, there is a part not pictured or described that I believe is a tension mechanism. It adjusts with screws to hold the film at the correct tension. Luckily, it did not require adjustment on the machine with the film that I used, but that’s another thing to consider in operation. Different films might require adjustments.Overall, I am happy with this machine so far, but it is not totally stress free to learn. The instruction manual is not overly helpful. A lot was lost in translation, and there is missing information. The diagrams are confusing. That fact, and the missing blades, downgraded the review to 4 stars.
